Following the MDM tradition, MDM 2007 workshops will provide the participants with opportunities to discuss and explore emerging areas of mobile data management with fellow students, researchers, and practitioners. Workshops may concern any topic within the scope of MDM. The goals of the workshops are to establish a common understanding of a certain aspect, to share experiences, to foster research communities, to learn from each other, to identify open problems and/or to explore future directions of research.
Workshops will be held on either Monday, May 7 or Friday, May 11, 2007. Negotiations concerning the publication of accepted workshop papers are under way.
Workshop proposals should be no longer than 4 pages and should include a summary of no more than 200 words describing the theme(s) of the workshop, a longer description of the workshop activities and specific goals, the background of the organizer(s), the maximum number of participants, and the means of soliciting participation. The MDM 2007 organizing committee will decide on the acceptance of workshop proposals.
Please email your proposal, preferably in PDF format, to the Workshop Chair, Birgitta König-Ries (koenig (a) informatik.uni-jena.de). Please also feel free to contact the Workshop Chair should you have questions or suggestions.
